Stay on course, even with a headwind

Maintaining a precise trajectory in the face of the elements can quickly become a challenge. With the Course Hold feature, BlueNav frees you from this constraint. This onboard technology automatically compensates for drift caused by wind, waves or currents, and maintains the initial course you set. The result: smooth, stable and comfortable navigation, even in choppy conditions. Thanks to Course Hold feature, you reduce the effort associated with manual piloting and gain peace of mind on board. Your boat follows an optimized course, without constant rudder correction. Less stress, more fun.

A smart function, at your fingertips

Course Hold feature was designed to make your life easier. It only takes two steps to keep your boat on course precisely:

  1. Press “HOLD” to activate heading hold.

  2. Activate “NO DRIFT” to initiate automatic drift compensation and maintain your original course exactly.

Then adjust the heading directly on the screen using the “+” and “–” buttons. It’s as simple as that.

The benefits of Course Hold feature

  • Extreme precision: maintain a direction to the nearest degree

  • Optimized navigation: follow a straight path for better energy efficiency

  • Ease of use: a clear and intuitive interface

  • Enhanced safety: Reduce the risk of collisions with a stable and predictable road

A better reading of your environment

Sailing on a stable heading makes it easier to assess the movements around you. By maintaining the same direction, you can more easily anticipate the trajectories of other vessels and react accordingly. In reduced visibility, this visual stability is invaluable: you can stay focused on what’s essential without having to constantly monitor your instruments.
