BlueNav, the French specialist in hybrid propulsion and Smart Navigation solutions, and Boats Distribution, the official distributor of Tiger Marine in France, are pleased to announce a strategic partnership aimed at developing a new generation of hybrid rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) tailored to the needs of maritime professionals.
The first outcome of this collaboration, a Tiger Marine 750 Open Fishing equipped with BlueNav’s hybrid propulsion technology, will be unveiled at Grand Pavois 2026. This project reflects the shared ambition of both companies to deliver solutions that combine performance, ease of use and reduced environmental impact.
A partnership combining technological innovation and nautical expertise
This partnership brings together BlueNav’s expertise in intelligent electric propulsion systems with Tiger Marine’s renowned know-how in designing robust, high-performance RIBs built for intensive professional use.
By combining their strengths, both companies aim to address the evolving needs of professionals operating in boating, fishing, port services and maritime tourism, all of whom face growing challenges related to the energy transition and increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
For BlueNav, this partnership is part of the company’s broader strategy of collaborating with boat builders and distributors to accelerate the adoption of hybrid propulsion. Following the launch of the BlackPearl 7 x BlueNav, developed in partnership with AtlantiCraft to showcase BlueNav technology through live sea demonstrations, the company is taking another step forward with Tiger Marine France by expanding into the professional and maritime tourism markets.
A first hybrid boat designed for professional applications
The first project developed under this partnership is based on the Tiger Marine 750 Open Fishing, a model renowned for its stability, durability and excellent seaworthiness.
Powered by a Honda 250 hp outboard engine combined with two BlueNav 8 kW electric motors, the vessel will offer professionals a hybrid navigation solution that helps reduce fuel consumption, minimise thermal engine operating hours, lower noise emissions and access areas where combustion engines are restricted or prohibited.
Beyond electric propulsion, the system integrates BlueNav’s Smart Navigation features, including the patented Virtual Anchor, Smart Mooring, Docking 360°, and smartphone control via the BlueNav App.
Official launch at Grand Pavois 2026
The partnership will be officially introduced during Grand Pavois 2026 in La Rochelle.
The Tiger Marine 750 Open Fishing x BlueNav will be exhibited within the Grand Pavois Fishing area and will compete in the innovation competition dedicated to recreational fishing. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the first hybrid RIB during sea demonstrations organised throughout the show.
A long-term partnership
This partnership goes beyond the development of a demonstration boat and is supported by a commercial agreement strengthening the collaboration between BlueNav and Tiger Marine France, which is now an official distributor of BlueNav solutions in France.
