BlueNav has won the Best Equipment Improving Navigation Award at the 2026 Innovation Route Awards, presented during the Cannes Yachting Festival, for its Smart Mooring technology. The award recognizes an innovation designed to make mooring maneuvers simpler, more precise and safer.
Smart Mooring continuously analyses wind, current and wave conditions to assist the skipper during mooring maneuvers. The solution combines the precision of BlueNav’s Precision+ GPS with its ultra-precise electric motors and Smart Navigation features to facilitate the most demanding mooring maneuvers.
The system automatically brings the boat back to a previously recorded GPS position and maintains it with ±20 cm accuracy. When preparing mooring lines or compensating for wind and current alongside a dock, the system continuously makes the necessary corrections to keep the boat precisely positioned, without constant manual intervention. Positioning can also be controlled from the BlueNav App, allowing the boat’s position to be easily adjusted from anywhere on board. This simplicity is particularly valuable on boats operated with a reduced crew, allowing the skipper to manage mooring alone.
